CoAL Throughput Planner

High-Capacity Component Assembler: batches of 64 components per craft. The CoAL Casing tier gates which recipes run and grants a ×2 speed bonus per tier above the recipe. Regular imperfect overclocks (×4 power / ×2 speed) on top, uncapped, from the summed EU/t of all energy hatches — TecTech multi-amp and laser hatches supported, unlimited tier skips.

Throughput vs energy hatch amperage

Components per minute sweeping total energy amps (log scale), one line per CoAL casing tier. Casing tiers shift the whole curve up ×2 each (free speed); each ×4 energy adds one imperfect overclock (×2 speed). Marker = current setting.

Energy cost of speed

EU per component as a multiple of base recipe EU. Casing speed bonus is free; every imperfect overclock doubles the cost (×4 power for ×2 speed). Sub-tick parallels flatten the curve again once the 1-tick floor is reached.

How the CoAL computes this: recipe requires casing tier ≥ recipe tier (recipe mSpecialValue, LV=1 … UXV=13; the 43 Component Assembly Line Casings set the machine tier). Every casing tier above the recipe halves base duration for free (speedBonus = 2^−(casing − recipe)). Overclocks are regular imperfect (×4 power / ×2 speed), count = ⌊log₄(supply ÷ recipe EU/t)⌋, uncapped by tier — setAvailableVoltage(getMaxInputEu()) sums the EU/t of every energy hatch (regular 2A, TecTech multi-amp and laser included) with amperage 1 and unlimited tier skips, so only total EU/t matters, not hatch tier. When OC count exceeds ⌈log₂(duration after casing bonus)⌉, the surplus becomes sub-tick parallels (×2 per extra OC + correction, capped by supply ÷ recipe EU/t) — extra batches of 64 at no added EU per component. Batch mode supported (logistics only). Real recipes: all component tiers output 64× per craft, base 1440 s (LV–LuV… tiers 1–8) or 2400 s (tiers 9–13).
